Standby Cogeneration / Emergency Power
Standby Gas Cogeneration
As an additional feature the Cogeneration unit can be supplied to operate as a standby generator. Thus improving the security of electrical supply.
In standby mode the Cogeneration unit can provide electricity up to 80% of its nominal electrical output and should not be subjected to load blocks larger than 30% of this figure. The unit can be supplied to operate in manual mode with the use of suitable interlocking keys or can be provided with an automated control system. The addition of an Island mode facility on a CHP unit requires a dedicated earthing system to be installed on the premises.
