Where ENER·G differs from other landfill gas to energy companies is its focus. Whilst everyone likes to think big, ENER·G also thinks small.
At ENER·G we build the generators in our modern manufacturing facilities in Manchester, UK, ensuring short delivery times and high quality. All systems are designed, developed and constructed by our specialist engineers, specifically in accordance with the client’s requirements.
ENER·G’s unique guarantee to install maximum capacity means that if the gas quantity and quality is sufficient for increased generation, extra units will be installed, even for a short period. This helps maximise our clients’ generation potential and income in the form of royalty as a percentage of the total income from the sale of energy.
Using cutting-edge technology our generation packages incorporate several features that make them unique, enabling maximised gas utilisation. Generator packages include 165, 375, 500, 1136 and 2000kW.
Load tests are performed at the manufacturing facility on natural gas, which ultimately reduces the commissioning period. All units are fully installed and commissioned by qualified ENER·G engineers and witnessed by the grid operator. The gas collection, pumping and flaring system are designed and manufactured in-house and our flaring equipment is provided and installed by our sister company, Biogas Technology Limited.
These generating sets are designed to incorporate several features that make our landfill generators unique:
- Fully enclosed oil bunded engine compartment and control room
- Extended oil sumps to increase oil change intervals and
reduce downtime - Sealed oil-pumping lines to make oil changes faster and safer with no risk of spillage
- A comprehensive, patented engine management system, which allows for remote operation and monitoring and has been proven in over 500 applications
- Extended vertical exhaust with emission monitoring points
- Sound proofed engine compartments, typically reducing sound levels to 68 dBa at 10m
- Engine emissions for NOx and CO are TA Luft compliant, and exceed the proposed standard for UK gas engine emissions for present and post November 2004
- Factory testing where possible
- Safety features include easy isolation points, lifting beam, easy exit from either side of container
