Flexible contracts offer the ability to choose your supplier in advance of committing yourself to the wholesale prices which make up the majority of your energy cost.
Advantages:
- Flexible contracts provide flexibility and allow greater freedom over the timing of your purchasing decisions.
- Take advantage of favourable movements in the market. For example, anticipating the future price of energy falling, due to warmer than average weather.
- Purchase your energy in smaller components, for example by individual months.
Disadvantages:
- Energy prices can be unpredictable, you may end up paying more under your flexible contract if the market moves against you, there is therefore no guarantee of savings with this contract.
- Flexible Contracts require more management and many financial systems cannot handle a lack of budget certainty.
Through ENER-G's service provision we can watch the energy markets for you, offer decision support and if required enact the purchases for you. We can help by offering proven experience in drawing up suitable strategies that work for different organisations.
