ENER·G Switch2 offers complete solutions for the effective use of meter reading technology from the first to the last device, including data collection, data management, billing, cash collection and credit control as well as full reconciliation of charges and consumption.

The complete solution 

For peace of mind we offer a fully supported accounting and bureau service especially to Facility Managers, Energy Managers and Housing Managers. We are able to tailor requirements of multiple fuels and tariffs. 

The full cost of running the scheme can be recovered from the consumers using the single point metering system or our "Utility Cost Allocation" method. In this method the costs of the scheme are apportioned to the consumers, based on metered and fixed elements relating to the floor area of their individual apartments. This is based on European best practice where secondary metering is the norm in apartment blocks. Energy used in communal areas or by bulk users can be separately billed.

Services include:

  • Collection of monthly prepayments from consumers by direct debit.
  • Reading of meters on a monthly basis and the identification of users who are consuming in significant excess of their prepayment.
  • These users will be contacted, advised of the situation and given an opportunity to increase their prepayments or modify their consumption.
  • On receipt of the scheme costs or the agreed tariff, we calculate the charges, apportion service or other costs, if appropriate and prepare bills for the consumers.
  • Provision of facilities to collect payment directly from the consumers, by either direct debit, cheque, standing order or visa transactions.
  • Perform credit control and notify the client of any defaulters on an agreed basis.
  • Provision of call centre facilities to accept calls from consumers who wish to discuss their energy accounts.
  • Provision of consumption and other reports.
